Hi friend! A big YAY for Friday! We celebrated our sports teams at school last night with a banquet dinner and it was cool to see all the kids dressed up. They’re looking so grown up now! Soon we’ll have a 7th and 1st grader in our house!
This weekend we’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day with a casual brunch at our new house. I can’t wait to have all my family over at once for the first time since moving! Jordan and I will be making chocolate chip banana bread, if you haven’t tried that recipe yet – it’s so good!
We had a fun week on the blog, I shared April Faves | Fashion, Beauty, & Home, Summer Patio & Best Sales, and a huge fashion haul with New Styles from LOFT and Nordstrom. You can also catch my Tuesday Goodies and Amazon Live. I truly have so much fun doing those and sharing them with you!

Amazon Fashion | One Shoulder Top, V Neck Shift Dress, Embroidered Dress

Home | Wire Basket w Adhesive, Faux Peonies, Acrylic Necklace Organizer (I just ordered another set)
AMAZON FASHION | SWIMSUIT EDITION
I’m not sure anyone really loves shopping for swimsuits, but I did the dirty work for you and tried on so many different styles from Amazon. There are both one pieces and two pieces, some good, some great, and some so bad that I couldn’t dare myself to share. But, all of them are super affordable!
My Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110 lbs. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.
ONE PIECE SWIMSUITS
Let’s ease on into this and start with one pieces.
Good news first! This one piece suit is adorable and I almost mistook it for a designer brand. The colorblocking is artfully placed for maximum body flattery and there is a spaghetti shoulder strap if you prefer. I took it off and the suit still stayed up nicely, but you have to see the back!
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
This one piece is sassy and might be better suited for an adult pool party or vacay. The back is cheeky and I thought it looked good from the front, but it offers little support. The belt is a cool touch and the way it’s designed with the ruffles makes it feel like a dressy swimsuit.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
Next, we’re moving into safe territory with a suit I already own and like so much that I have it in two colors. This one is really comfortable and the contrasting stripes are done in a way that gives you the illusion of a smaller waistline.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XS
Stripe Swimsuit • Shorts • Hat • Sandals • Bag
Here’s the blue/white striped version with the Levi’s cutoff high waist jean shorts.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XS
Shorts Fit: I’m wearing a 25
This ruffle front swimsuit looks great on everyone and comes in tons of colors. For something different, this long scarf works as a coverup that you can tie around your waist and wear it long (pictured here), or shorter (seen below).
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XS
Sarong Fit: One Size
I really like the vibrant colors and it’s so easy to toss into your bag and it won’t weigh you down.
For a pullover tunic style coverup, this one is finished with crochet detail at the neckline, sleeve and hem, and has a fun tassel bottom. It’s a lightweight guazy material with a 3/4 length sleeve.
CoverUp Fit: I’m wearing a Small
I think this is my new favorite coverup! As a shorty, I like the shorter length and it’s so cute on! It slips on easily over your head with a long sleeve.
CoverUp Fit: One Size
This maxi crochet coverup is different! I feel like it looked better on the model, but I still wanted to show it to you in case it’s just what you had in mind- maybe for a Summer vacay?!
CoverUp Fit: One Size
You absolutely cannot go wrong with a tunic, button front coverup. Wear it open or buttoned up, cuffed or uncuffed. You can add a pair of short and you’ll feel more like you’re in an ‘outfit’ appropriate for a poolside lunch.
CoverUp Fit: I’m wearing a Small
I really liked this one piece swimsuit with scallop detail. It’s a little hard to see with the black on black, but the scallop trim is at the chest and waist, adding a fun flair to the suit. It has a plunging neckline, but somehow doesn’t feel too revealing.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XS, I’d size up one
This sarong style coverup is absolutely gorgeous in the ombre blue, but there are several colors to choose from. The cool thing about this is that is can also double as a beach or picnic blanket.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XS, I’d size up.
The crochet top is a fun alternative to a traditional coverup. I sized up so that I could wear it to one shoulder, but it also fits on the shoulder if you prefer.
The shorts are the jegging style pair I shared in this Amazon fashion haul. I like the fit and style of them!
CoverUp fit: I’m wearing a Medium
Shorts Fit: I’m wearing a Small
TWO PIECE SWIMSUITS
Okay, moving onto two pieces . . .
Many of us wear a different size top and bottom, and that’s true for me too. I got a large top in the gingham bikini, but the large gingham bottoms were falling off of me.
I bought this black bottom in a size Small and I think that it looks good with the top.
Style Tip : you can mix and match bikini tops and bottoms, even if they’re not the same brand
Top Fit: I’m wearing a Large
Bottoms Fit: I’m wearing a Small
I do like it when a solid is paired with a print and yellow is particularly fun for summer. This set was pretty cute, but I’m wearing a size small in both the top and bottom and felt like I needed to size up one.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
Do you like high waist bikini bottoms? I think because I’m so short, it has to be the right proportions for it to look flattering. I really liked the stripe ruffle top (with removable strap) on this swimsuit, but wasn’t crazy for the style of the bottoms. The material felt very silky and luxe though.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
I’d call this a relatively conservative two-piece. The bottoms aren’t too high cut or cheeky and the top provides a good bit of coverage (I didn’t feel like I was gonna fall out of it).
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
This aztec inspired bikini has a pretty cool top, I liked the criss cross part. I felt like it offered a little more support, and also helped shield the girls a bit.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a Small
This suit was really comfortable on and has a vibrant color to it. The top criss crosses in the front and then ties in the back. These high waist bottoms do conceal the lower tummy well.
Swimsuit Fit: I’m wearing a 4-6
This suit was actually one of my favorite two-pieces. The color is unique and really pretty in person, kind of a ‘burnt sienna’ if you will. The top also criss crosses in the front and then ties behind your back. The bottoms aren’t too high and not too low (of course I know that’s relative), but they have a rushed side that seemed to flatter the legs.
